Ada Jobs Foundation is Now Hiring: Startup Program Manager

The Ada Jobs Foundation is looking for the right candidate to serve as our full-time Startup Program Manager. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping entrepreneurs connect with key programs and resources in a supportive community, and we are looking for a candidate to help us improve our outreach to local startups and build new systems to better manage our existing programs. This position will also support and track our work as part of our Build to Scale grant award, including the creation of a scalable technology startup accelerator. This position will report directly to the Ada Jobs Foundation’s CEO and will help us improve, innovate, and scale our existing programs for Ada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a candidate who can help us achieve the following performance outcomes within the first year of starting work at the Ada Jobs Foundation:

  • Double the participation in our current programs for local startups, including the Startup Ada Bootcamp, the Big Pitch, and the monthly Community Entrepreneurship Hour.

  • Convene 4 Rural Innovation Action Team meetings with local community stakeholders and guide the creation of new Action Team initiatives.

  • Identify 5 new potential incubator clients.

In addition to these outcomes, the Startup Program Manager will also be responsible for the following activities

  • Oversee regular communication with local entrepreneurs, partner organization, and other day-to-day work related to entrepreneurship development in Ada.

  • Track key information and metrics related to current grant awards, including the EDA Build to Scale grant program.

  • Create a client relationship manager database of members in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

  • Recruit and schedule speakers for regular, startup events throughout the year.

  • Coordinate content needed for an Ada Startup Ecosystem micro-website.

  • Communicate the importance of local entrepreneurship development to local community members and stakeholders.

  • Represent the Ada Jobs Foundation when needed.

 

Qualifications

  • We prefer a candidate with strong organization skills, an interest in project management, and an ability to communicate in a professional environment.

  • The candidate will need a working familiarity with cloud-based office productivity software and the ability to communicate professionally.

  • There are no education or professional experience requirements for this role.

  2. The first round of interviews is expected to be scheduled with a select group of candidates starting on the week of February 21st. These interviews will cover a broad range of topics and will allow you to ask questions and learn more about the position and the Ada Jobs Foundation

  3. A second round of interviews will be scheduled on afterwards.

  4. A final decision will be announced once an offer is accepted.
