Starting October 6th, 2020, SABC will bring together a group of passionate early-stage startups and small businesses for six consecutive Tuesday sessions from 11:00am-2:30pm leading into Demo Day at The Big Pitch Ada 2020, taking place on November 10.
Each class will include an expert speaker, topic-based educational curriculum, peer-to-peer interaction, an active work period for hands-on learning, and networking. Topics include Customer Discovery, Legal Basics, Intellectual Property, Creating a Viable Product, Startup Financing, Marketing & Branding, and Pitch Ready.
“Early-stage entrepreneurs and small business owners looking at launching a business idea or grow their business are busy people. This course is designed to ensure the time they’re spending is beneficial to their goals and growth, and will result in building their networks, refining their skillsets, and ultimately a better product,” stated AJF Entrepreneurship Specialist and event organizer Srijita Dia Ghosh. “Our focus at the Ada Jobs Foundation is growing and supporting our small businesses and entrepreneurs and the Startup Ada Boot Camp is just one additional way to provide resources to this group of people.”
“The Startup Ada Boot Camp was a wonderful experience that allowed me to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs in my community,” shared Flor Mendoza, Startup Ada Boot Camp 2019 participant. “The Boot Camp gave me a foundation that will help me further develop my business idea. I was able to learn from the customer aspect of starting a business to the legal and financial aspects.”
Early-stage startups and small businesses are encouraged to apply. The boot camp is also open to those with a business concept in the idea stage and existing small business owners that would like to grow their business.
