Press Release: Ada Jobs Foundation Welcomes Jake Cantrell to Team

ADA, OKLAHOMA – Jake Cantrell recently joined the Ada Jobs Foundation (AJF) as the new Scalable Investment Associate. In this role, Cantrell will work to connect potential investors with exciting opportunities to invest in rural scalable technology startups in the region of Southern Oklahoma, and to help founders access the capital they need to take their businesses to the next level.

“The Ada Jobs Foundation believes that investing in early-stage rural tech startups is a fantastic way to drive innovation and economic growth in our communities. By supporting rural entrepreneurs throughout our entire 10-county region, and providing them with the resources they need to succeed, we can help build a more inclusive and thriving tech ecosystem,” said James Eldridge, President and CEO of the Ada Jobs Foundation. “Jake brings important experience as a tech entrepreneur and investor and we are very excited to have him on our Team.”

The Scalable Investment Association position was created through the Build to Scale Award that AJF received from the Economic Development Administration (EDA award number ED21HDQ0240067). This position will be grant funded through at least 2024.

“As part of our Build to Scale program, we plan to offer a range of opportunities to help you get involved in the exciting world of early-stage rural tech startups. This includes regular events, digital media content, quarterly leadership roundtable meetings, and a 12-week technology accelerator program. You can also take part in our targeted early-stage investor outreach program, which offers you a unique opportunity to connect with rural tech startups, supply access to early-stage capital, and potentially earn significant returns on investment,” shared Jake Cantrell, who has already been taking action to put programs in place to connect investors and startups.

Cantrell has over 27 years of web programming and software experience. A cutting-edge technologist who has the ability to bridge the gap between operations and corporate needs.  After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a business degree and minors in marketing and management information systems, he went on to build a series of successful new ventures.
